Overcaller’s rebid and beyond


In general, the auction won’t reach this point.


Either your original overcall will be as much as your side has to offer, or alternatively partner will conclude your part in the auction with his response, but once in a while there will be an extended sequence.


This section does not pretend to analyse every possible auction to this point.

Instead it confines its attention to those situations in which overcaller might realistically be considering a further bid.
