Bidding

Hands

Theory

Game-forcing

This style of bid dates back to the early days of bridge.

It is natural, and the auction cannot stop below game-level.

Such bids have long since dropped out of fashion.

Certainly they work when the right hand turns up every year or two, but there are other ways of showing such hands and they waste far too much bidding space which can be put to better use.
